OUR FAITH COMMITMENT

The Potter’s House…
A place of planning, A place of purpose, A place of promise.
Isaiah 64:8 says, “Yet you, Lord, are our Father.  We are the clay, You are the potter, we are all the work of your hand.”

In much the same way that clay is molded and shaped by the hands of the potter, young children are developed through the experiences of their early years.  These experiences have direct influence on the five areas that make up every human being, impacting them physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually for the remainder of their lives.

For over thirty years, The Potter’s House Child Development Center has prioritized the optimal development of young children, supporting them and their families by providing an excellent academic and quality childcare program within a nurturing Christian environment.

Our vision is that children’s experiences at The Potter’s House provide a firm foundation that prepares them for success in both school and life.

This pattern is modeled after the childhood experience of Jesus Christ, as recorded scripturally in Luke 2:52, which reads, “And Jesus grew in wisdom (mental) and stature (physical), and in favor with God (spiritual) and men(social/emotional).”

As a ministry, our staff is united in our commitment to following Jesus Christ, which gives us the opportunity to authentically nurture the spiritual development of the children in simple, concrete ways, which include:

  • Providing loving, responsive care

  • Modeling Christlike character

  • Introducing our loving God and nurturing children’s faith by

    • Supporting and affirming their pro-social choices

    • Providing weekly Bible stories and chapel time, utilizing puppets, skits, songs, prayer, and simple Bible verses.

In our current cultural climate, identity and values are often questioned. We believe that the Bible provides a solid, unwavering path for children to discover, embrace, protect, and appreciate that God created each of them to be a unique, fulfilled, and gifted person that reflects the light and love of Jesus to the world.
